There are people who say demolition is easier than construction. That's not really true if you are trying to reclaim the demolished materials. (Maybe we should call this "deconstruction".)
First I sacrificed a decking board by sawing lengthwise. The next board's nails were deeply embedded and still very strong despite surface rust; they were impossible to remove without damaging the board.
